Triste Leches, is a premium cake shop based in Phoenix, Arizona, specializing in authentic, high-quality tres leches cakes of various flavors. My original recipe has been carefully crafted over the years and become a great comfort to me, especially after a cancer diagnosis at the age of 21. Back in 2022, I was initially diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily I had detected it pretty early on, which gave me the best chance. I went through and completed all the recommended treatments then a little over a year later, in February 2023, it had progressed to stage 4. This left me with no clear vision of my future, I did everything I was supposed to. I was devastated and in between the extended treatments I continued to find comfort in baking. Soon after, with the mounting pressure of medical expenses, I decided to share my story and seek help, only to be met with open arms. When I hit my first bumps in the road, my medical expense fund reached its goal within 5 months. After seeing everyone’s hard work and determination come together, I knew I had to find a way to give something meaningful back to my community. I decided to channel this passion into creating Triste Leches, more than a bakery - it’s a symbol of resilience and a testament to the importance of community.
